One Day Photographic Tours in Languedoc Roussillon, France

Photography Courses France with David Lloyd

David Lloyd is a professional, award-winning photographer who graduated from Bournemouth College of Art specializing in Still Life and Landscape Photography and opened his first studio in London in 1978. Since then, he has been providing images for use in a wide variety of editorial, advertising and commercial photography commissions.

He has exhibited internationally, notably at Les Rencontres d’Arles and the Real Sociedad Fotográfica in Madrid, Spain's oldest photography salon. David has run workshops in the UK for The Royal Horticultural Society and the Welsh Tourist Board, and has judged competitions and lectured in Spain, France, Pakistan, Japan, South Africa and in the USA to the Garden Clubs of America, as well as spending several years as Course Director/Subject Leader on the BA Honours Degree in Editorial and Advertising Photography at the University of Gloucestershire.

In 2002 David set up Spirit of the Rose Publishing with artist Annie Beagent. In 2004, for their first book of the same name, David was awarded “Photographer of the Year” by the Garden Media Guild for a portfolio of images from the book. Alan Titchmarsh was quoted as saying "Never have I seen roses photographed so beautifully." In 2006, the book won the first ever literary award from the World Federation of Rose Societies.

David is a master of lighting whose photographs are often mistaken for oil paintings. Known throughout the world by top international floral designers and specialist interest groups, his richly photographed books are a delight including best sellers "Spirit of the Rose" "Beyond Mere Words" "A Flower In My Hand" and, more recently, “Spirit of the Forest” plus many more. David continues to work as a freelance photographer and publisher and runs specialist courses in the UK and France providing individual and group tuition to those interested in improving their photographic technique and learning how to produce images with mood and atmosphere, with particular emphasis on the landscape, nature, gardens and flowers.

Just bring yourself – and your camera – for the opportunity to tour the area with a master of photography, picking up hints and tips as you go.

Le Moulin de l'Argentouire

Le Moulin is a 300 year old former water mill set in 15 acres of grounds mostly made up of woodlands but also with large colourful gardens, a small orchard and set against local farmland which boasts sunflower fields in abundance at certain times of the year. Situated within the picturesque valley of Argentouire this tranquil location makes an ideal base for aspiring photographers. The pool, approaching a 100 sq m in size and enclosed for safety is a great place to relax at the end of the day, alternatively you can enjoy a glass of wine on the patio. There is also plenty of space to play a game of boule and lots of woodland walks for an evening stroll.
